XT3 techno radio presents: Common Good Special (15 mei 2010)

Het is weer tijd voor een labelspecial! Dit keer heeft XT3 techno radio de handen ineen geslagen met het Eindhovense label Common Good. Zaterdag 15 mei gaat de XT3 techno radio presents Common Good Special plaatsvinden, live vanuit de studio in Amsterdam met alle artiesten die Common Good te bieden heeft!

Achter Common Good gaan de mannen van Solid Decay schuil. Zij hebben de volgende artiesten benaderd om, samen met Solid Decay zelf, de studio van XT3 techno radio te vullen met de lekkerste techno muziek die Common Good en Eindhoven te bieden hebben!

Deze vier helden zullen vijf uur lang hun kunsten vertonen, live vanuit de studio van XT3 techno radio. Je kunt deze avond niet alleen meeluisteren, maar ook meekijken! Ook deze special zullen we de webcam aanzetten. Dat is dus genieten van Common Good vanaf je computer, je mobiele telefoon of op de televisie in de huiskamer!

Tijdens de vijf uur durende liveshow zal Common Good een speciale verrassing in petto hebben voor alle luisteraars!

De XT3 techno radio presents Common Good Special zal gaan starten vanaf 20:00 tot 01:00. Zet 15 mei dus alvast in je agenda want deze special wil je niet missen!

Solid Decay

It’s all in the name.  Solid pounding techno, guaranteed to Decay the foundation wherever they’re playing. No wonder these guys shared the stage with dj’s like Robert Hood,  Heiko Laux, Joey Beltram and Cari Lakebush.

This duo started off in 2001, and has been producing tracks and performing live ever since.

They are known for their raw, deep and grooving style of the good old techno sound which al-ways gets the crowd going on.  The recognizable flow while live on stage, is very well reflected in their productions and remixes (Common Good, Lessismorecordings, Flatlife records).

For these ‘down to earth’ guys, producing music is everything. Learning and experimenting every day, they keep discovering interesting grooves, heavily in-spired on the notorious techno sound of the late 90’s and in the first years of this millennium.

Too much talk, not enough sweet techno! Let the music tell the story, pure live from stage.

Zix

Thou shalt dance.  For those who know and love Zix, it’s assured – thou shalt dance. With a style that never fails to get the dance floor pumping, Zix has firmly established himself as one of the most revered techno DJs of the Netherlands. People who know Zix come to parties knowing they will be taken on a journey. Those who don’t are hooked from the moment the first record hits the turntables.

Zix was born in the South of Holland as Ziggy Willemse. Named after David Bowie’s infamous alter ego Ziggy Stardust, Zix was destined for a career in music. At a young age, Zix became an accomplished drummer, establishing the love of rhythm and sound that would later be reflected in his productions and DJ sets.  His style of techno can only be likened to the powerful steady rhythm of a steam train bearing down on you. Later his popular radio show was to be named LocoMotive, truly reflecting the harnessed energy of his live sets.

Zix started his DJ career in the summer of 1999, and immediately established a reputation for igniting the dance floor with his high energy sets. In 2004, he joined the renowned Dommelvallei organisation as the first resident DJ and firmly established his relevance in the underground dance culture of the Netherlands.

Whether producing or at work behind the decks, there are two things on which Zix always focuses: emotion and energy. As a DJ, Zix is known for taking the crowd on a healthy, emotional rollercoaster, bringing them to a sustained, energetic state of ecstasy. As a producer, he is on a quest for the ultimate blend of emotion,  energy and depth.  His first release, Multivitamins, was  released on Common Good #4 in 2009, with acknowledgement by such notables as Luke Slater, Concrete DJZ, and Edit Select among others.  Not long after that the long awaited debute at the dutch Awakenings party is a fact.

Look for more releases in the near future from Zix, as well as several collaborations in the works with Dave Miller and Solid Decay.

Tachini

Sergio Karijopawiro aka Tachini is a live-act with a funky triggering performance rarely seen on stage. Ever since his early childhood he has been listening to his fathers’ classic Motown soul and funk of Otis Redding, Marving Gay, Percy Sledge, Curtis Mayfield and George Clinton. Inspired by this musical energy, he started exploiting his own creative talents. After starting his career with hip-hop, being an MC, DJ and beatcreator he soon joined the technocommunity.

By now, Tachini has developed a unique, energetic and funky sound, with rolling and pumping basslines which make you move and put that big happy smile on your face. He has joined several line-ups( Awakenings, CODE Fabrik Madrid) which also included renowned artists like Steve Bicknell, Vince Watson, Pacou, Reeko, Billy Nasty, Rue East.

So ‘just throw your hands in the air, and wave ‘em like you just don’t care’. It is time to come out and dance. Seeing is believing, meet Tachini.

Sceptical C

After having played in a café in Eindhoven for 2 years, he got so bored of playing others people music, that he decides to start making it himself. After going to the open air dance party “SHINE” in Eindhoven, he started opening up more for electronic music, but especially the Techno sound. But he was not sold to it, until he went to ILT(I Love Techno) in Belgium. This was such an amazing experience with such an amazing sound that this was his new mission to start working on. Producing high quality Techno!

With a little help of his good friend, teacher and ½ STU Bro’s partner, Tachini, he started working with Ableton Live ,Cubase and Fruityloops. Together they battled a long way to reach a high level of Techno, which would make you move your body and brains on the dance floor till you popped!

Nowadays he’s releasing material on the Labels Common Good, Flatlife Records, Naked Lunch, Kucera Records and Extorsion Group Recordings. More labels to follow soon, so this won’t be the last you’ve heard of him!

The motto he goes by nowadays and that has been told to him by a good friend is:

“Don’t speak anymore…let the beats do this for you!”
